Hi,
I've got a Zyxel P-330W EE router; it's been configured by ISP personnel, Wi-Fi and all. It worked for about 24 hours. As soon as Wi-Fi stopped functioning, I contacted ISP support. They've made me upgrade firmware, guided me through the configuration process, all to no avail. So I've been left to my own devices.
My current situation:
(1) Wired Internet is functioning
(2) Wireless is either down or not connecting, depending on (irrelevant?) settings.
Unfortunately, config.dat file is a binary one, no use posting...
My Wi-Fi setup is as follows:
Basic settings:
Disable Access Point: off
Band: 2.4 GHz (B+G)
Data Rate: Auto
Mode: AP
Network Type: infrastructure (grayed)
SSID: ZyXEL (This one is really weird, because on the receiving end (laptop) it shows as 00555)
Channel Number: 2 (Another quirk: on "Auto" the wireless network may not show)
Associated Clients: Show Active Clients
Roaming Threshold: 20 (grayed)
Enable Mac Clone (Single Ethernet Client) : offWireless Advanced Settings:
Authentication Type: Auto
Preamble Type: Long Preamble
Broadcast SSID: Enabled
IAPP: Enabled
WMM: Disabled
Security:
Encryption: WPA2 Mixed
WPA Authentication Mode: Personal (Pre-Shared Key)
WPA Cipher Suite: TKIP (grayed)
WPA(Pre-Shared Key) Format: Passphrase
WPA Pre-Shared Key: ****************
Group Key Life Time: 86400 sec
Enable Pre-Authentication: off
Authentication RADIUS Server: port 1812 (grayed)
Connection attempt ends up in "Unable to Get IP Address" (wicd). Yes, I'm sure that 00555 is my own network, because when I change WPA2 to WPA or channel number, 00555 responds accordingly
That's about it... Any ideas?
