Multiple network card, how to specify which is eth0

This is not really Arch Linux related, but Linux related question.

I have two network cards in one PC. Usually when I reboot Arch Linux change which card is eth0 and eth1. How can I specify that which network card is eth0?

Thanks.

I don't know if you can change the name. But you could alter rc.conf to reflect which adapter you are using.

I believe one suggested solution was to load the modules needed for your network cards manually in rc.conf array. The first loaded module would be eth0 and second eth1.

Also try udev rules.
