I'm sorry for the title but I really can't understand waht's going on:
I run telnet from my laptop at home:
[pie@xps ~]$ telnet 62.149.128.157 25
Trying 62.149.128.157...
Connected to 62.149.128.157.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 rblsmtpd.local
QUIT
221 rblsmtpd.local
Connection closed by foreign host.
[pie@xps ~]$
everything fine.
Then I do the same on my parents pc:
[argonauta@argo ~]$
[argonauta@argo ~]$ telnet 62.149.128.157 25
Trying 62.149.128.157...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out
telnet on port 80 works fine.
Any ideas?
Both computer runs arch linux; the second one is controlled via ssh.
thanks
pietro
EDIT: my ISP blocks all connections on port 25!
