networkmanager and pptp connections

hey guys, as the topic name gives it away I'm having trouble to establish any vpn-pptp connection in networkmanager. In logs(daemon.log) there's only this error,

NetworkManager: <WARN>  impl_manager_activate_connection(): Connection (2) /org/freedesktop/NetworkManagerSettings/2 failed to activate: (2) The VPN service was invalid.

I've searched around, and tried couple of things, like getting rid off the password line etc. but nothing seems to work. I've also consulted wiki, but I am pretty sure I installed the package correctly.
Anyway as this is my only connection available to get online, I'm pretty desprate to solve the issue thus any help is appreciated
