VPN and routing/dns question

Since I am completely new to the concept of bridging, and I want to eventually set up OpenVPN for remote access, I am trying to determine if setting up VPN in routed mode would be adequate for my purposes;

As my Arch box is currently configured, I have two hardware interfaces: eth0 (connected to a router through which the WAN is accessed) and eth1, which other machines connect to; the computer is itself running dnsmasq and acting as a gateway to machines connected to it through eth1. All of the resources/machines that I would need to access remotely would be connected to the Arch box in this way. If I set up OVPN in routed mode and connected remotely, would I be able to simply connect to any of them by referring to their addresses on the subnet controlled by eth1?

Also, if I did things this way, would I be able to access services on the box running OpenVPN itself?

Re: VPN and routing/dns question

For your setup I think OVPN using tap device would be best.

And yes after connecting to your server using OVPN you are in your LAN so you can do all as you were at home.
