Out of the blue one day my internet speed plumited like a rock. I used to download my files at around 500kbs and now im lucky to get speeds of 10kbs. The weird thing is this is the only computer in the house that is not running at full speed and I can't figure out why or how to fix it.
Heres my /etc/rc.conf
# HOSTNAME: Hostname of machine. Should also be put in /etc/hosts
#
HOSTNAME="Xeryk"
/etc/hosts
#
# /etc/hosts: static lookup table for host names
#
#<ip-address> <hostname.domain.org> <hostname>
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost Xeryk
# End of file
/etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by dhcpcd from wlan0
# /etc/resolv.conf.head can replace this line
nameserver 192.168.1.1
# /etc/resolv.conf.tail can replace this line
Any help would be awesome.

You might want to monitor for undesirables with netstat -nap.
Edit: Also, do you recollect recent updates that might have lead to such behavior?

I ran netstat -nap, but Im not really sure what I should be looking for. I know that there isn't something else using my dl speed because im monitoring it with Conky.
I don't think an updated caused it, and if it did I couldn't tell you what update broke it because it. My dl speeds has always been flaky so when it first went slow I though that comcast was just being cheep. Only earlier today did I find out that only my computer was having the problem.

Might it be caused by something like this http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=86260
