ath9k - association to AP after DHCP set link up

hi,
I can't reach associated status when interface is reported down by ifconfig. It causes problems with netcfg.
Is necessary to run netcfg2 my_wep_dhcp_profile twice for success connection.

when I tried to set connection manualy, state reported by iwconfig was still Not-Associated
iwconfig wlan0 mode managed essid "MyAP" key xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

State changed after dhcpcd wlan0

This behavior seems to be a litle bit strange to me. In ath9k in 2.6.30 kernel was able to associte to AP no matter interface link state

Is any way to configure netcfg profile to accept this interface behavior?
thanks for any help

Re: ath9k - association to AP after DHCP set link up

I'm having a similar issue.  I don't use netcfg.  I just have my settings in my rc.conf since the machine is a desktop.  I can connect fine doing it manually after the system's booted but I like the way it used to work (connection made during boot).
