Wireless Network GUI + Terminal

Hi, I don't know how to do this, but I want to be able to connect to WPA2/WEP/whatever networks a bit easier, like a GUI for X and a terminal thing that don't conflict with eachother. How I want is to have a GUI like Windows has (bad example, I know) that allows me to choose AND have one in the terminal incase X goes down that'll allow me to choose.

WICD maybe wicd has a gtk gui and a curses gui
