eeepc 900HA - no wireless

lspci shows two network controller. one is ethernet, its woking fine.
another is

02:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Device 002c (rev 01)

iwconfig only shows lo and eth0.
the same with ifconfig

i have installed madwifi, and add ath5k in rc.conf
but it seems not to work.

i also tried the first time howto here: http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/UserDocs/FirstTimeHowTo
after

wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode sta

it reports
ioctl: no such device

and im sure the wlan is enabled in bios

thx a lot

Re: eeepc 900HA - no wireless

lspci -nnvv | grep -i Network

ath5k works without madwifi

ifconfig -a

If that doesn't do any good, use the madwifi-hal-svn package from AUR (it needs to be modified a bit)

Re: eeepc 900HA - no wireless

When you turn on wireless, check what happens when you do "modprobe ath5k" or "modprobe ath9k" and see the "dmesg" output. Seems that there is very limited information about your model (900HA). You should check http://madwifi-project.org/ for more information.
