Nvidia 195.36.15

I know, that there where problems with a previous 195-starting version (I think 195.36.08), but after that, nvidia removed that from their website, and for a while, again the 190.53 was the stable version (as here), but now, another nvidia driver released, which is told to be the okay driver (195.36.15), and it seems, that for kde users, this is a solution for a slowness in 190.53:

What is the current state of nvidia drivers, as the newest is not even in testing.
And yes, this was the older buggy one (195.36.08) nvidia removed it from their site, since that there are a whole new okay driver: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=92203

They are not obliged to update it so fast, you should know wink

They will update it as soon as they can.

Or a busy maintainer? Or perhaps (s)he's not feeling too well at the moment? Or his/her sister is getting married today?

this makes me want to cry. I hope you were being sarcastic. also there's this thing called ABS which lets you build package in few seconds.

Re: Nvidia 195.36.15

I just wanted to _warn_ the developers/maintainers, that this is _not_ the bad nvidia driver, that arch and gentoo got first, before it got stable. The version numbers are so similar, you know

update: kubuntu still uses the bad driver in its beta (ubuntu not): http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=kubuntu

I sure am appreciating your substantial contributions to the ecosystem that Arch Linux is.

Re: Nvidia 195.36.15

sorry for being a bit provocative, it seem to have worked as a reminder though smile

Re: Nvidia 195.36.15

There is a 'flag out of date' button that works as a 'reminder'.
