How Can I let my samba client to ping my windows boxes?

I mean,
  How can I ping my windows boxes use their NETBIOS names.
  some other distros can do that use someone "winbind"
  but it seems that arch haven't got that stuff.

Edit /etc/nsswitch.conf and add wins to the hosts section.

Change it from hosts: files dns , to hosts: files dns wins .

Edit: changed host to hosts

I've tried that way.
but ping 'replies' 'give up' or it pings some hosts do not locate in my workgroup (something like 20*.*.*.*)
what's wrong?
