Hi how are you
I'm a newbie on Archlinux and i want to learn this new distribution.
The thing is that i'm triying to install X.org (pacman -S xorg, as a root user) because i will need it for Gnome. But i have a problem: when I try the pacman -S xorg it shows an error that says: "error: config file /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist line 206: directive 'Server' not recognized. xorg package not found, searching for group... error: 'xorg': not found on sync db".
I enabled some servers from U. S. but it dont work it dont download the Xorg, i think the problem is on pacman mirrorlist but i dont know what to do i tried servers from France and is the same thing. I need your help because im new on this distribution and i want to learn it because i want to convert it into the main OS on my laptop.
I have Archlinux 32 bit 2009.08 running on a virtual machine in Virtual Box 3.1.4 hosted on Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
The machine has 8.00 GB of hard disk
has a virtual Ram of 1024 MB.
Thanks for your help!!
