Hello,
I upgraded to kernel26 2.6.33 a few hours ago. I was on wired network at the time. Now I went to use my wireless and it doesn't work. It gets an IP address OK, but browsing fails. After a while (or after a reboot) it starts working again.
There are no error messages to be found, it just doesn't work.
I'm using x86-64 Arch Linux on an Acer 7720 laptop, wicd is my network manager and I'm connection to a WPA2-encrypted WLAN.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
EDIT: Solved. Apparently I had some now-useless options for the iwl3945 module on my /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf. After removing those, it works again..

Could be trouble with WPA2 because I don't have any problems at all. Had some earlier on with netcfg, when I switched to networkmanager it worked out ok (I think there were some troubles with dhcpcd).
So networkmanager, kernel 2.6.33, open network with mac filtering on - works ok.
Have you checked dmesg ? If connection is there but you cant browse, check with ping where it fails...

Mine's working fine too - with wicd and WPA1

After running pacman -Syu on 4/9 and rebooting last night, my desktop's wired connection isn't working at all. I'm also using wicd.

Got my wired connection working with "dhcpcd eth1" and ran "pacman -Syu" again. Upon reboot I got the following error message:
"Could not connet to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for error messages."
A look at /var/log/wicd/wicd.log indicates that wicd is not seeing the wired interface.
