[solved]samba share - read only file system error

hi

I am trying to delete a file on my samba share, but it is coming up with the error "read only file system" and when i check the permissions of the file in pcmanfm, it says "nobody" is the owner and group!! However when i access the file system through vnc, pcmanfm says the owner and group is "danny".
my smb.conf is ;

[global]
workgroup = MEDIACENTER
server string = Samba Server
hosts allow = 192.168.1. 192.168.2. 127.
load printers = no
guest account = danny
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
max log size = 50
dns proxy = no

[public]
comment = Public Stuff
path = /
available = yes
browsable = yes
public = yes
writable = no

Any ideas?

thanks
