I have a static ip address and haven't changed anything since last time internet worked. I can ssh in fine, but can't ping, ssh, etc. out and I get "unkown host" errors. ifconfig gives the correct addresses from configuration files, notes no errors or dropped. I see that eth0 has 0 collisions and 100 txqueuelen whatever that is. I can connect out of another server at my office, so it seems like it must be specific to my computer. Restarting network or rebooting doesn't change anything.

Hi,
Looks like a DNS problem to me. Check in /etc/resolv.conf if everything is correct.

Thanks. I can ping the DNS server named in resolv.conf, and that hasn't changed since the last time internet connection was fine.
