I happened upon a Slashdot article yesterday showing off a a group called Raspberry Pi that is planning to release a personal computer based on the ARM architecture sometime before 2012. They mention on their site that the device will be able to run Arch, but when I searched the forums for related articles, I only found two mentions in posts from earlier this year. I think that this is a great idea with endless possibilities. It seems that one of our community members has been working hard to start an Arch distribution based on ARM, the site is here. With so many hardware products being developed and marketed towards "gamers", it is nice to see a group trying to do something rather practical; bring the personal computer to anyone (with $25 that is.) I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this device!
