Ok i've fallen in love with arch thats for sure, but i'm having some issues with getting nautilus and samba to connect to other computers shares. i've never had to set up samba before and i am trying to get it all to work just like it does in ubuntu, where i just open the network tab pick a share and i'm away
currently i've googled around and found nothing useful, so if anyone could help that'd be great

Where have you gotten to? Are you getting any error messages?

Have you installed gvfs-smb package?

I have gvfs-smb, i have no idea where to look for errors on arch, i tried to install samba myself from the repos but i think that was wrong. basically what happens is that i go to "network" and there is nothing there, whereas on ubuntu and other distros there would be a list of the local shares.
i googled variations on "arch samba" for my research, which gave me a plethora of resources for starting a standalone samba server but not for the networking folder

On my Arch box, where i can access Samba share and samba printers without any problem, i have only the samba and gvfs-smb packages installed...

[Fixed]
Solution - Remove nautilus-share-gnome3-3

When something goes wrong, it's always a good idea to suspect AUR packages first, especially if they are marked "out of date"
