Logo / Banner Propositions for your Preferred Tools

If your preferred tool lacks a (good) logo / banner you might want to propose one in this thread.

herbstluftwm

Logo:
hwm01.png?sig=-TRh0-1nZTcQfBbDefV1v89M2WmHzhAozRw
hwm02.png?sig=-TRh1AHFZz-5y28B1Gfcr-MJBpPd55Wpz4k
hwm03.png?sig=-TRh1AZWBO37T7vBBredcQ51Bnq28CM-o1Y

Banner:
hwm_ban01.png?sig=-TRh1Aq6HVXtdKBU2t0bE93ARaU7V8s-v9Q
hwm_ban02.png?sig=-TRh1A9JUpzbbKW6W7zOL941PUuisNoICkE

Re: Logo / Banner Propositions for your Preferred Tools

It looks cool smile But can you place the horizontal lines in the h and b lower? (I first read ''nerdstluftwm')

Yes I though of that but it would break the logic of the font, so, I made another banner (see supra).

Re: Logo / Banner Propositions for your Preferred Tools

Nice work. Somebody should really do something about Emacs.

http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/EmacsIcons

None are textual enough.

Edit: is 9b0bEHA-0.irvxux3tuxiggb9.png made in GIMP or Inkscape or neither?

Bloom,

love this one

9b0bEHA-0.irvxux3tuxiggb9.png

Maybe you can make the 'h' width at the same larger than the "w" and "m" ?

Re: Logo / Banner Propositions for your Preferred Tools

Thanks.
It was the easiest to do and it's heavily inspired from dwm's logo.

Well, in terms of letterforms, 'h' must be narrower than 'm' and 'w' otherwise it looks too wide.
To be more precise, the area of the empty space under the 'h' should be approximately equal to the area under the 'm'.

@Bloom @jasonwryan
Cool!

I've made Mon5ter_bits

#define monster_width 8
#define monster_height 8
static unsigned char monster_bits[] = {
   0x3c, 0x7e, 0xdd, 0x99, 0xff, 0xc3, 0x72, 0x3c };

Re: Logo / Banner Propositions for your Preferred Tools

I have an icon I use for vifm which is just the overlay of two icons grabbed of the web (neither with any copyright that would prohibit such manipulation).

@bloom: The style of each of your logos here is just great, as different as they may be. Please tell me you don't just do software-logos smile

Far beyond the normal world
Hidden in total darkness

That looks good. Are you talking about Tuomo? I thought he had moved to Windows long time ago.

What's wallpaper size? wink I think i could make a bigger version of it, but it's bitmapped not vectorized so it would require some work. I'll see what i can do. smile

I have a 1600x900 screen but if it takes to  much work don't waste your time on it, it's just a wallpaper smile
I might even just use the small image and fill in the background, if that's ok ?

Just a 2min scetc for potential monster wm logo:
AEORL.png

Yes, it is nerdy but colors can be changed easily. All bells and whistles can be added latter, this was just a super quick mockup.
