Networkmanager is not displaying my Wireless network. (It did before)

This started happening yesterday, I clicked my connection and it asked for a password. I failed to realize that it was the Admin password I was being asked for and not the wireless password. After a couple of tries, the network didn't show up anymore and I can't see it on the network list. Every other device I have here can connect with no problems whatsoever.

What I've tried (to no effect):

- Switching to wicd, same thing, every other network is there except mine.
- Changing the network's name and password.

Try disabling networkmanager and use netcfg.

Are you sure that your wireless AP / router is still functioning? I have had an all-in-one router by D-Link that suddenly lost all wireless functions...

@Viking60: he tried wicd already, so I doubt this problem is related to networkmanager...

Yeah, I tried wicd and other devices, WiFi is working, but not on this computer. I CAN connect to other networks though.

I still have no idea what the problem is.

Maybe just rebooting the router fixes something also.
I would delete the entries in networkmanager for the Wifi you have the troubles with.
You can also try this:

/etc/rc.d/networkmanager stop 
ip link set down dev wlan0                #brings down the wifi connect
iwconfig wlan0 ESSID "Your Wireless"         #The one you want to access
ip link set up dev wlan0  
iwconfig                                  # Check here, if the correct wifi is associated to your pc now

If you see an association then, start networkmanager again and look if it shows up now. If yes, create a new connection entry.

EDIT: When you delete the entries in networkmanager, do it like this: with a working connection (wired/wireless) click ->configure ; leave that connection open but go to the networkmanager main GUI window again and click configure again. The gnome2 style networkconnections window appears then (with the tabs). It may well be that you have double created double entries for your Wifi in the attempts. Delete them all.
