[Solved -> Bug Report] Mkinitcpio net hook - is wiki wrong?

Hi,

is our wiki wrong about the mkinitcpio net hook?

Static configuration doesn't work like described anymore:
ip=192.168.1.1:::::eth2:none
ip=192.168.1.1:::::eth2:static

Both return an error: "invalid protocol no" and "invalid protocol st"

Following static configuration works:
ip=192.168.1.1:::::eth2:

According to the wiki page, this should be some auto config using all protocols, for me it is static then.

DHCP works as described:
ip=:::::eth2:dhcp

I did not change the wiki page, because I don't know if I do something wrong or our wiki is really wrong wink

Can someone try?

Re: [Solved -> Bug Report] Mkinitcpio net hook - is wiki wrong?

Ah the problem seems to be a too long kernel parameter line.

wtf hmm

sry no problem with net hook.

Edit: Okay seems to be a bug in mkinitcpio net hook. If the kernel parameter line is too long it throws the errors shown above, but if you put other parameters to the end and the ip= paramter to the beginning all work, so it is not grub or kernel who can't handle long kernel lines. Should I do a bug report to mkinitcpio?
