As for now we are very restrictive with adding new distros to the server but we are putting Archlinux on the request list.

ftp.belnet.be is faster than ftp.sunet.se is for me, and I'm *on* sunet ^^

Or try archlinux.antesis.org. Usually, I was getting over 400 KB/s at university here in Montreal even if it's located in France.

i used belnet before but it went down for some reason, it's up now but is not syncing anymore, ![]()
i'm using chemnitz now and it's ok but i will try antesis also,
arch + gentoo + initng + python = enlisy

From here (right now), antesis is at 600kB/s, chemnitz @ 700, belnet @ 850kB/s and sunet @ 1.1 MB/s (but sunet's access is a little unstable due to high loads).
Belnet isn't syncing?
It seems to me that new packages announced on rss appears there in a shortly manner.. what have I missed?

belnet hasn't been updated since it went down and that's a pretty long time now, but if it will go back to normal(syncing once or twice/day) behaviour i'll switch back to it,
arch + gentoo + initng + python = enlisy

I talked to Umeå University (they are hosting the main gnome site and a few more) once, about setting up a swedish mirror, but they wanted some information I didn't have (iirc, how big the site is, how fast it grows...), and they thought it was unnecessary since there already are a few european mirrors availible... ![]()
To err is human... to really foul up requires the root password.
