Dear everyone,
yesterday I have installed Arch for the first time on my new Laptop after spending 3 years with Ubuntu. I am quite thrilled with the customizability :-)
One problem that i am experiencing is, that the nm-applet does not show up in the gnome panel until i manually restart the networkmanager daemon by
sudo /etc/rc.d/networkmanager restartAfter that command the applet immediately shows up and works fine.
Any solutions?
Regards

maybe you didn't add networkmanager to DAEMONS in rc.conf ?
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

It is n the DAEMONS list... apparently it fails to start during boot for some reason

my daemons list looks like this:
DAEMONS=(hwclock syslog-ng netfs networkmanager @crond dbus @cpufreq)Offline
that's wrong.
move dbus before networkmanager
