Solved: Cant install netatalk. Get AVAHI error

When I try to install netatalk I get this error

checking for AVAHI... configure: error: The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old.  Make sure it
is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full
path to pkg-config.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables AVAHI_CFLAGS
and AVAHI_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

AVAHI is installed and the server is up to date

How do I fix this?

Do you have pkg-config and the rest of base-devel installed?

I was missing some packages from base-devel for some reason. Dont know why.

Now it works :-)
