Solarized my desktop, always loved light color schemes but always had a problem with the huge contrast, never thought of a non-white/gray background until I saw Daisaku's desktop with Solarized.
Absolutely loving it, I think this colorscheme's here to stay, it's a huge plus having it for nearly every IDE out there. I'm probably going to use everywhere.
@milso, what movie is that?
PS: finding a wallpaper to match the solarized team seems to be a huuuge pain in the ass, does anyone have any recommendations?

To the couple of guys that tried to help with my thumbnails, what I meant is I'm sure deviantart has a built in thumbnail system. However I could not get it to work so I used some old ones from ompldr rather than upload new ones as the difference was minimal.

Does anyone here have a solarized color scheme for ncmpcpp with dark background?

Started using the solarized colours also, they are lovely. As mentioned above, anyone converted them to ncmpcpp yet? A gtk theme would be nice also.
My i3 window manager solarized colour section as follows.
#Bar config
bar {
mode dock
position top
font -*-ohsnap-medium-r-normal-*-11-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
colors {
background #002b36
statusline #002b36
focused_workspace #93a1a1 #073642
active_workspace #587e75 #002b36
inactive_workspace #657b83 #002b36
urgent_workspace #d33682 #073642
}
}
# solarized
client.focused #93a1a1 #073642 #93a1a1

MreDD wrote:people still use .Xdefaults?
.XresourcesThere's no advantage to either filename because neither is auto-loaded: we have to explicitly add an `xrdb YOUR_CHOSEN_FILENAME` line to our xinitrc file for our settings to take effect. So I say, name the file however you want.
I was just poking fun anyways. and as @lolilolicon stated following you, xrdb ~/.X{defaults,resources} is needed either way.
I tried to give deja vu sans a go using symbol chars and it's neat eye-candy but I went back to antipasto. just a clean font an a text statusbar for me I guess.
should prolly use emotes(smilies) more I guess, but thats me. dreary
