That's how it looks at the moment. There wasn't much change in the last few years anyway.

Of course, it's Ambientbox v3
and for gtk apps I use zukitwo theme, they blend very good together. I modified little bit that toolbar from original because was too small for me.

Re: Fluxbox shots!

In response to the Openbox v. Fluxbox question: I don't really use Fluxbox's panel, but I'm accustomed to Fluxbox's configuration files and can't be assed to change.

Here's my current setup.
21m6737.png

The only things different in my keys file, besides xterm switched to urxvt:

!Two-Part Shortcuts
   Mod1 grave none 1 :Exec chromium
   Mod1 grave none 2 :Exec nitrogen
   Mod1 grave none m :RootMenu
   Mod1 grave none a :Exec urxvt -tr -sh 50 -e alsamixer -g
   Mod1 grave none b :Exec xmessage -center -timeout 3 "$(acpi -b)"
   Mod1 grave none f :Exec urxvt -tr -sh 50 -e ranger

!Media Control
   Mod4 Home :Exec exaile --play-pause --start-anyway
   Mod4 Prior :Exec exaile --prev --start-anyway
   Mod4 Next :Exec exaile --next --start-anyway
   Mod4 Mod1 Prior :Exec exaile --increase-vol=5
   Mod4 Mod1 Next :Exec exaile --decrease-vol=5
   Mod4 Mod1 Home :Exec exaile --toggle-mute

!Brightness Control
   Mod4 b :ToggleCmd {ToggleCmd {Exec xbacklight -set 0} {xbacklight -set 60}} {ToggleCmd {xbacklight -set 30} {xbacklight -set 100}}

Startup:

#!/bin/sh
# Change your keymap:
xmodmap "/home/mouse/.Xmodmap"

#Audio
jackd -r -d alsa -HsC hw:0,1 -P hw:0,0&

#Remove irritating system beeper.
xset -b&

#PATH
PATH=${PATH}$(grep ^PATH /home/mouse/.bashrc | cut -d \} -f 2)
export PATH

#Timezone
TZ='UTC-5'
export TZ

#VST path for Renoise
VST_PATH='/home/mouse/.vst/'
export VST_PATH

#Compositing - abandoned for fake compositing.
#cairo-compmgr &

#Background
nitrogen --restore&

#Systray Applets
pnmixer&
wicd-gtk&

#Panel
tint2&

exec fluxbox

So few Flux users..

Made my own theme, and got tired of the lack of drag'n'drop in fbpanel, so I'm currently running tint2.

I have disabled window-decorations, since I always use the shortcuts anyway.

Nice, easy-on-the-eyes theme you have there. Want to make it available?

Philosophy is looking for a black cat in a dark room. Metaphysics is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there. Religion is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there and shouting "I found it!". Science is looking for a black cat in a dark room with a flashlight.

Oh, sure. Here it is. It's a bit rough on the edges, though. Gtk2 theme is Die Hard 4.

Re: Fluxbox shots!

Fluxbox needs some love! I flirted with awesome for a bit, but it's hard to argue with how stable and easy to configure fluxbox is.

Just using the default Arch style here. I dunno if it was made specifically for Arch Linux, but it fits really well.

Man. i doubt u still read this post, but to get your menu config and how you got icons there would be amazing along with that conky config, that is some impressive work, you should turn that into a theme!!

amazing stuff. i wish i had your skills

Re: Fluxbox shots!

Trying to bump what I believe to be an underrated thread / crosspost with November 2012 screenshot thread:

Clean
6wRqT.png

Dirty
PzLue.png

I made the theme, it's called RedRum and if anyone wants i'm glad to share.
Conky still needs some attention but i'm still undecided on what to show in the background and how.

Tilda slides in from the left, terminator as default term and using 'compton -b' to handle transparencies.
