No internet connection

Boots in one HDD to xfce4 Desktop and internet is connected.

In another system boot, no internet, same xfce4, and reach Desktop.

Cannot ping any IP.

Attempt to connect via jumanji google.com: result cannot resolv google.com.

Checked all files rc.conf, resolv.conf....IP correct and eth0 data for static IP all correct.

Host name installed.

/etc/resolv.conf has nameservers...correct.

What else can cause this to occur?

Not using DHCP...static wired network eth0.

Compared files with performing system......

Re: No internet connection

Check dmesg for related messages i.e. anything to do with eth0 and/or your network card's driver.

Re: No internet connection
