It's so basic I don't even have an aur helper. Heck, I only installed 13 applications big_smile

Thanks I nabbed most of the config elsewhere and just edited in what I needed. Some might say it's too much but I like it.

How'd you get the cool arrow-shaped backgrounds behind your PS1? (And in Vim?  If that is actually Vim on the bottom there).

That is Vim. I'm using a plugin called Powerline that makes Vim's statusbar more helpful (and stylish). That's its (nearly) default configuration. I just added "let g:Powerline_symbols='fancy'" to my vimrc.

But to do that, powerline has to have patch your font (or rather, a python script that comes with it has to patch your font) to include the nifty arrows. So I patched my terminal font of choice (Inconsolata) and that made vim work.
I figured then that since I had the nifty arrow characters, I'd use it for my prompt too -- so it's just a unicode character.

The trick is to set the foreground color to the previous background color and the background color to the next background color just before each arrow character.

I'll post my PS1 (from zsh) here a bit later once I've got that computer on hand.

Not at all, its a plasmoid called "folder view". Add it to your desktop, and from there just drag the icons on it.
