IPv6 Privacy Extensions and Network Manager

Are there any specific settings to get Network Manager to use IPv6 privacy extensions? I've set the corresponding sysctl keys to appropriate values prior to Network Manager starting, but I'm still only getting 1 global IP that uses my MAC address.

I've tried setting IPv6 to "Disabled" and "Automatic (DHCP)", both have the same result. I'm using RADVD to provide clients with configuration on the network, Windows clients are successfully using private addresses. Should I possibly consider using DHCPv6?

IPv6 Privacy Extensions used to be enabled by default on Linux before. now it's a toggleable one under /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all

in a file called use_tempaddr

if you do as root

echo -n 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/all/use_tempaddr

Then IPv6 Privacy extensions will be enabled and you should get another IPv6 address on your interface.

EDIT: or use the sysctl approuch by adding

net.ipv6.conf.all.use_tempaddr=1

to your /etc/sysctl.conf

and then run sysctl -p to apply the changes.
