I updated and I find this error in the logs:
[+0.05s] ERROR: Settings schema 'com.canonical.unity-greeter' is not installed
Okay, I was able to reproduce this The '0.2.3.0ubuntu3-2' update should fix this

Hmm...I just went and rebuilt all the packages and all of them seem to build for me. Could you post the build logs of (maybe, just some) the ones that fail? Maybe that will help me find the source of the problem.
EDIT: Just a simple question, but you are running "git pull" to update the sources, right? (this one has happened quite a bit to me before )
Yes I ran 'git pull' before building the packages. I still didn't have time to build them again to log the errors I get. I think I'll be able to do that on monday or tuesday. Anyway, I'd like to congratulate you for the work you're doing to port unity on arch. It's a really nice work

That's cause you're doing it wrong, you should remove all the packages you installed from AUR and compile everything from the git https://github.com/chenxiaolong/Unity-for-Arch/tree/

The other packages seemed to be build fine, but when I use the auto hide feature of the launcher, it just shows me a shadown when I hover the cursor on the left edge and the launcher doesn't not appear.

Could you post the full build log? The real error is right above the segment that you posted . I also have the problem where the launcher doesn't appear. I'll see if I can fix that later. For now, you can either turn off autohide or hold the Super/Windows button.

I know it seems like too much just to have Unity but chenxiaolong has made a great work and it's worth the try, also only the first time you compile it can take a little more time than the others but to me it worked on the first try.

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PREF_CFLAGS

About the auto hide issue, can you provide the downgrade packages until it gets fixed? Thanks.
Thanks! The missing gio.h is in the glib2-ubuntu package. Could you verify that you have the latest glib2-ubuntu installed? If you do, could you check that the gio.h file got installed?
pacman -Ql glib2-ubuntu | grep gio.h
As for downgrading packages, unfortunately, I won't be able to do that. Ubuntu deletes the previous versions of all the packages in the Ubuntu repository Hopefully, they'll fix it soon.
EDIT: If you do have the latest libcompizconfig installed, could you try adding the following above the cmake line in the PKGBUILD?
CFLAGS="${CFLAGS} $(pkg-config --cflags --libs gio-2.0)"

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables XINPUT_CFLAGS
and XINPUT_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

No package 'libgnome-control-center' found Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. I've just updated the package. Could you test again? If it still fails, could you check that you have gnome-control-center-ubuntu installed?

Ill test when nux finishes compiling. Fixed the utouch-frame issue.
Edit: Compiled with no errors. Thanks for your hard chenxiaolong.

I tried Unity for Arch a while ago and it was a little rough, but I'm currently recompiling from Chenxiaolong's git repo.
I was wondering if anybody knows how up to date rleyh's pacman repo is, for the sake of time?

I think it's been updated Feb. 20.The repository includes changes I made that day, but nothing later. I'm sure it'll be updated again pretty soon. Rleyh is pretty good about that

Maybe try compiling from git? Rleyh's repo was updated the day before I updated indicator-datetime

I'm glad about the resonance I think i can promise another update of my repo for tomorrow (or today) evening.
EDIT: Update done. You'll probably need to install the whole repository as explained in my initial post on page 6, because some new packages have been added which seem not to be pulled in as dependency by already installed packages.
