netcfg unable to establish wired connections

Hey,

I'm using a Thinkpad X200s with an integrated intel gigabic nic that runs on the e1000 module. The system is completely up-to-date.
I cannot say, when this problem emerged because I skipped a couple of months of upgrades, but right now I cannot establish wired
connections with netcfg. There's no problem connecting to wireless networks.

Here's some info:

$  sudo NETCFG_DEBUG=1 netcfg ethernet-line1
DEBUG: Loading profile ethernet-line1
DEBUG: Configuring interface eth0
:: ethernet-line1 up                                                                                                                                    [BUSY]
DEBUG: status reported to profile_up as:
DEBUG: Loading profile ethernet-line1
DEBUG: Configuring interface eth0
DEBUG: ethernet_iproute_up ifup
 > No connection
DEBUG: profile_up connect failed
                                                                                                                                                        [FAIL]

I have no clue where to start, because I see no real error message that states a certain problem... It feels more like a "whoops, something's gone wrong" wink

Edit:
I can also establish a connection using ifconfig & dhcpcd.

Greets,
Vrob
