I used to run dhcpd to provide dhcp service. I switched to dnsmasq following some advice regarding its comparative simplicity, size, etc...
Problem is, in addition to dhcp it also tells all the clients its a DNS server. The result being that no clients can access the internet (through another NIC, connected to a server that really is a DNS server).
So, is it possible to prevent dnsmasq from telling clients it is a DNS server, or is there some other way to prevent the clients from losing internet access? Thanks.
But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Thank you for the information. However, it doesn't seem to work. The option is active:
$ ps -fg dnsmasq
UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD
dnsmasq 800 1 0 14:30 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/dnsmasq ... --port=0
But after releasing and refreshing the connection on a client machine (Windows 2008), it still shows the server as a DNS server. Same on xubuntu.
