"Standard" way to start l2tp over ipsec?

I've got an l2tp tunnel over IPSEC up and running and as of right now, I'm starting/stopping it with home made scripts in my home directory. I wanted to ask if there are any "standard" tools or infrastructure for starting/stopping such tunnels in Arch? In general is there an "Arch way" of doing this, or it this a to-each-his-own sort of situation? I'm also running Gnome 3 for what that's worth.

Thanks,

-Matt

Probably too late, but you might wanna take a look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/L2 … ient_setup
