Permanent IPv6 configuration in rc.conf

Hi, what is the current way to configure permanent IPv6 addresses on interfaces in rc.conf? the current wiki seems obsolete?
Thanks.

Re: Permanent IPv6 configuration in rc.conf

Have you tried setting the static options as in the netcfg static IPv6 example here?

Re: Permanent IPv6 configuration in rc.conf

Thanks for your reply, I did not try these yet, but I wonder why should netcfg be used with IPv6, if IPv4 can be set statically without it...

Re: Permanent IPv6 configuration in rc.conf

Maybe you just try out and tell if it works to put those IP6=static variables into the rc.conf.

If it does, then the wiki is not up-to-date with that (but certainly not obsolete as you stipulate in your first message).
Another way to define static settings are visa dhcpcd.

Re: Permanent IPv6 configuration in rc.conf

Well I can say for sure, that currently attempting to set up an IPv6 address in rc.conf the same way as with an IPv4 does not work...
