i got home tonight and was using the internet
then i did a pacman -Syu and upgraded to linux 3.3.1-1
i rebooted and now i cannot connect using dhclient or dhcpcd. when using dhclient it fails to ping 192.168.0.1 and doesnt connect to the internet. when i use dhcpcd it times out after 'waiting for carrier'
you may remember reading about my wireless woes a few days ago, heres the other thread that i marked solved https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=139096
recap: dhcpcd was disconnecting me frequently. started using dhclient and internet was rock solid. updated to latest linux and rebooted, now dhcpcd and dhclient fail and i cant get online

Pretty much, yes. I would advise to keep an eye on the BR and try to help the person in charge of the bug where you can (providing debug, logs,...).

how do I downgrade the kernel, because nvidia depends on 3.3 and if i try to downgrade nvidia, it depends on linux <3.3 which I can't downgrade to
Edit nevermind im an idiot. missed that part of the wiki page. It does work now though.
