Hello,
My Wifi isn't working anymore and I can't say for sure what the reason is because my laptop was running for a while and I had problems after rebooting. I didn't change any configuraton files (I think), all I did was a simple system upgrade (-Syu), including updated kernel through pacman.
I'm using netcfg (wpa_supplicant) to connect to a WPA2 protected router, /var/log/messages outputs the following:
iwlwifi: L1 dsiabled, Enabling L0S
iwlwifi: Radio type=0x0-0x3-0x1
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0 link is not ready
I'm not sure wether this is a hard- or software related. I did research and found a few bug tracker reports and outdated threads, nothing useful so far.
Could anybody give me a hint?

I just setup the wifi on campus and it is definitely software related, I'm updating the system right now and will try when I get home.
I forgot an important part, I am able to scan for wifi and I find the network I want to connect to, however the wifi LED on my laptop doens't blink and it retries 3 times and shuts off (says dmesg).

Try to use Wicd as a daemon and network manager.

Do a more thorough search on the forums (and potentially the bugtracker). Issues with ath9k cards (it's a bug) have been discussed alot around here lately.

Do you have Athk9? If so than it is probably bug in linux-3.3.1-1. Here is kernel patch https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=139274f. I experience the same problem but with wicd.
