Hi, I seem to not be able to connect properly using my USB wirelss rtl8192cu
out of lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN
When I run nmcli -p con I get the following
======================================================================================================================
Connection list
======================================================================================================================
NAME UUID TYPE TIMESTAMP-REAL
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunnydale 32093c9e-6cad-44a4-8faa-2dc880d45e75 802-11-wireless Mon 09 Apr 2012 11:00:57 AM BST
Wired connection 1 fd84a85c-d8cf-407a-93be-daa236b61305 802-3-ethernet Mon 09 Apr 2012 11:03:55 AM BST
iwconfig shows not connected
lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
eth0 no wireless extensions.
I then have to run
sudo wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf to get a connection,
and then
dhcpcd wlan0 to get an IP
I can then see the laptop connected on the DHCP clients list on my router however cannot browse any web pages
dmesg output is below

Has anyone been able to get this working properly? Or would have any thoughts on what might be causing this?

so in a bizarre twist the wireless now works.
Reinstalled some drivers yesterday and did an update today, not sure which fixed it not complaining.
