My first Arch post! Thanks to everyone who submitted their code, I definitely stole a lot of stuff I've put a few basics on pastebin because I didn't have time to figure out github, if anyone wants any other config file please don't hesitate to ask! I also didn't know how to put up a thumbnail and link it to the main image, so these pics are suitable for work.

If you take a look here, you'll learn how to post embed thumbnails and link them to main/full-size image:

Thanks to all of you. I've stolen configs from just about everyone...
Nice setup Any chance that your config is online somewhere as well?
(My first post after +6 years of lurking... It must be a personal record, by far.)

Oh My God!!
Same reaction here I really thought I'd contributed to this board (allbeit many years ago, when things still ran on PunBB iirc).
Btw, I keep getting errors while decompressing your Blue Awesome.tar.bz file
➜ yul ~/downloads % tar xjvf Blue\ Awesome.tar.bz
bzip2: (stdin) is not a bzip2 file.
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
➜ yul ~/downloads % bunzip2 Blue\ Awesome.tar.bz
bunzip2: Blue Awesome.tar.bz is not a bzip2 file.
Could you verify this? Or is it me?
rule 12 !
I had no intentions whatsoever with that remark, actually. If that wasn't obvious, then I apologize to the board staff.

If my hack-together brought you out of a 6 year lurk, how could I not post them for you?!

@donniezazen, do something like this:
beautiful.init(awful.util.getdir("config") .. "/themes/mytheme/theme.lua")

You are running awesome, and not awesome-git right?
and the themes folder is located "~/.config/awesome/themes" right?

yaourt -Ss awesome | grep installed
archlinuxfr/awesome 3.4.11-5
Well, originally themes are located in /usr/share/awesome/themes/ . As wiki says, I moved the themes folder to ~/.config/awesome/themes and corrected the beautiful.init line in ~/.config/awesome/rc.lua. BTW theme.lua has got links pointing to original folder in /usr/share/awesome/themes/ but again I have tried with these links and another time I changed the links to the current theme folder.
I will open another thread because I do not intend to hijack screen sharing thread.
Thanks for your help.

It looks very much worth it thanks!

Don't know for sure if it solves things, but try making the path in rc.lua absolute, or append your username to the tilde.
