I've got Majesty running on my 64bit system (installed 32bit libraries) and it runs properly, but does not have sound. When I start it up, it produces this error on the console:
InitDriver [linux/cylinuxsnd.cpp:1153]: ***ERROR***: SDL_mixer error: ''
I'm not sure what to do. I have SDL_mixer installed.

Maybe you'll need to make a lib32-sdl_mixer package. If not, I would search for that string in the source code to see what function gets called before the mixer error.

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

I installed lib32-sdl_mixer from the AUR and I still get the same error.

Try installing lib32-alsa-lib and lib32-libpulse if you haven't done so already

One way to solve this problem is by activating some kernel modules for an old-fashioned sound system interface:
$ sudo modprobe snd_seq_oss snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss
See a more extensive discussion of running the game on a modern Linux system here.
