Hi!
Today I upgraded my system.
I'm using i3-wm, and nm-applet icon is disappeared. On Fluxbox it's ok. Why it's disappeared in i3?

I'm seeing the same thing with the icon for network-manager-applet being missing in openbox. Right clicking where the icon should be brings up the network manager applet and all else is working as it should so it's an annoyance bug only for me.
I'm guessing that it's a theme issue of some kind. I had a similar issue with vattery when the libpng & libtiff libraries were updated recently.

The main problem is this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11253594/networkmanager.png
What happened with it??

I'm using i3 and the icon is missing as well on both my computers. Or better: The icon physically there, it occupies space and I can click on it, but nothing is displayed there.
Until now I hadn't time to look into it, so I cannot say where it can possibly come from.

The source of the problems seems to be the height of the i3bar, see here.
With trayer everything is displayed correctly for me.

I downgraded i3-wm, gnome-icon-theme, networkmanager, network-manager-applet, but nothing has happened.

On my Arch system, the fix was to edit /home/username/.config/tint2/tint2rc
change: panel_size = 100% 40
to: panel_size = 100% 44
(I tried 100% 43 and that was too small as well).
The the networkmanager systray icon needed 4 more pixels in height.

@Beemer
I tried your fix of setting the panel size in /home/username/.config/tint2/tint2rc to
panel_size = 100% 44
This worked but the panel was far too big to be practical on my netbook (only has a 600*1024 display). So I then stepped the size back down in stages from 44 back to 20 pixels.
I now have nm-applet icon displaying properly in only 20 pixels using Tint2.

Ok - So I'm guessing the icon changed in some way and there's a scaling issue so. This looks like a fix, but probably has to be tweaked per user.

I´ve got the same problem here on my box with awesome3. Increasing the height of the bar from 12 to 16 pixels solves the problem for me. Looks like a scaling issue.
