ifconfig and route unistalled suddenly

Hi all!
Today I installed on my laptop Arch linux.
I don't know if useful but
I installed gnome, gnome-extra  firefox etcetc.
and then from AUR google-talkplugin 2.8.5.0-1 and  libpng12
Everything worked. I called a friend for half an hour then the connection fell.

I tried to look for network configurations using ifconfig and route but It writes:" bash: route: command not found. "
What is strange is that it seemed to me that pressing   tab it autocompleted correctly and there were also the man pages. Then I rebooted
and no traces of route or ifconfig.
ping now take a lot of time to  write the first line and to react to Ctrl+C

What happened?
And how can I fix it?

The only strange think that I have written is a resolv.conf file with 4 nameservers (just to try)

They never were. Use ip (ip route, ip addr, etc). And please search before posting.

It's nothing new: http://www.archlinux.org/news/deprecation-of-net-tools/

Even if you don't have a working network connection, you still can copy the package from another computer (if you insist on using ifconfig).
