I went back to MPD. A mix of the inflexibility and instability of Rhythmbox made me switch back to MPD. I am also using the mpdcontroller desklet in the top left corner.

You should give amarok a shot.
It's really, really nice if you combind it with audioscrobbler

oscar: I am not a KDE or QT fan, but I gave it a shot anyway. The interface does not fit my tastes and the sound output was slow. So its glory ended with a `pacman -Rss amarok-base`. No worries though, I like MPD a lot.

This one has less eye-candy/clutter than my previous ones. But still kind of cool (IMO).

- torsmo

Busy:

Yeah... I might eventually try conky. Once, I asked what were the differences between conky and torsmo but no-one could give a satisfactory answer.

I don't use either, but I think that torsmo is not longer being developed, while conky is. I also vaguely remember people saying that conky was a bit lighter on resource usage as well, but I might just be making that up

Possible. Another difference that came up was anti-aliased fonts. I think conky has released a new version since that thread so there could be more features now.

If a page times out or a domain doesn't exist, I get this.

For the record, I just switched to conky. Conky has more options/features. I kept the same layout, though.

The icon set is called Sparkling 0.5:

That on the top is KNewsTicker (rss reader) on a top panel. The bar on the right hand corner is KasBar.

Yes, I meant the Ob theme. You can find some more themes I made at http://nooms.de/node/15. But since I'm not an artist most of them are ugly or just ported from other window managers.
