Access mediawiki installation (from repos) in browser?

I installed the mediawiki packages from the official repository, and I ran into several questions. Mediawiki installs into /usr/share/webapps/mediawiki, but the default root of apache is /srv/http. Is it safe to simply move the files from the former directory to /srv/http/mediawiki so I can actually access them from the browser? I have other applications that already depend on /srv/http as the web root, so I hesistate to change it, but I would like to use Mediawiki (strictly locally as well). Since mediawiki didn't actually install, I presume pacman just loads its files in /usr/share/webapps and the rest is left to the user, correct? Also, once I get this settled I plan to update the wiki page on mediawiki as well.

Re: Access mediawiki installation (from repos) in browser?

After looking over the files in /usr/share/webapps/mediawiki more, I think I will need to copy the files in my web root's directory. There isn't a LocalSettings.php file, which normally comes after an installation. I wouldn't expect the mediawiki package in the repos to actually install Mediawiki, but I wanted to check because the wiki has such meager instructions. Is there anything else I should keep in mind before installing? I presume that copying the files downloaded from the repos and installing from those will be no different than downloading the tarball directly from mediawiki.org and installing from that, correct?

EDIT: I ask if there are any differences between these two installs because the wiki has instructions to update /etc/webapps/mediawiki/httpd-mediawiki.conf, so I want to make completely sure that just copying the files from /usr/share/webapps/mediawiki is fine, since it seems like the version from the repositories has put hooks in other parts of my system that a vanilla install wouldn't do. Is this the case?
