Hi Everybody,
I have just upgraded my setup and I am not able to mount SD cards anymore. I've tried several different cars, which work on other laptops. Nothing happened.
My question is, what could have caused this? I need a push into the right direction as trying to find similar problems / solutions did not help me so far.
Any help is appeciated. Thanks.

Are you automounting with gnome or trying to mount them manually?

You've probably thought of that already, but did you reboot your computer after a kernel upgrade?

I actually forgot to reboot. So I rebooted.
Now my Gnome session ist not starting, I'm left with that little watch icon on a black scren. Uhhh...and I just wanted to go to bed. Can anyone help out with this?
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=127534 - this thread describes my problem, but seems a little outdated.
Stopping and restarting GDM throws the following error:
** (gdm-binary:756): WARNING **: failed to acquire org.gnome.DisplayManager: Connection ":1.19" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnom.DisplyManager" due to security policies in the configuration file
** (gdm-binary:756): WARNING **: Could not acquire name: bailing out
I've opened a new thread to tackle the GDM problem first: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 1#p1115331
My initial problem was fixed, when I had fixed the GDM problem. See here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p1115489
