Isn't that pretty much the idea behind torrents? You download something and at the same time you contribute by uploading parts you've already downloaded.

you mean , i was uploading what i was downloading !
you know , my internet is limited and i cannot download and upload everything ! how can i disable this option ?

You aren't supposed to disable uploading when using torrents. Torrents are P2P; you upload what you download (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer). You might be interested in Usenet.

More generally, you should try to understand how your chosen applications work. I am amazed that you managed to install and use ktorrent without understanding how torrents work.

If you are not going to seed, please don't use torrents!
And make sure to read your isp's terms and conditions beacuse
there are many of them who don't count upload.

The short answer: it's a feature.

[rant] Seriously i am surprised you managed to install archlinux. It's been less than ten days since you joined the forums, and you have been asking stupid questions, most of which could be answered by searching the internet/forums.
You should start a new thread only if you can't find the answers anywhere else.[/rant]

Newsgroups might be a better idea for you if you don't have a lot of bandwidth.

You can limit the brandwidth for seeding in just about every torrent client, including ktorrent.

I call "bullcrap"
I have great patience with people who speak a language other than English - or at least I try to. But people who speak English as a second language never butcher it in just this sort of way. It is not an ignorance of the language that leads to excessive punctuation or excessive "text-speak".
If you want to defend your abbreviations as an acceptable shorthand, so be it. But claiming they are due to English being a second language is just blatant nonsense.

I haven't had any English class where "sth" was an accepted way of writing "something"

@Inxsible : but it is not necessary to bang your head on desk because of "sth" !

It could be worse, arashroshan. This could be the FreeBSD forums where they correct every grammar mistake you make.
