My screen gets black when its udev, if I put nomodeset in grub I can boot. But I can't start xorg.
Don't know what to doo. Asus P5G41T-M LX and intel GMA X4500.
After some time my monitor display: Not Optimum Mode. Recommended Mode: 1280 x 1024.
I tried Ubuntu 12.04 Live CD, but only works if I set nomodeset.
I never had this problem with any linux distro.

Yes. I had a problem that if I turn off the screen, and turn it back on, it would back on.
I tried that and now when gets to udev gets black.

The problem is happening in desktop computer.
What should I put in vendor?
acpi_backlight=asus_acpi ?

had the same issue - in the end it came down to moving dbus further to the right in rc.conf demons array,
i.e. "DAEMONS=(syslog-ng dbus ... " works while "DAEMONS=(dbus ... " does not.
too early or something ![]()

Just acpi_backlight=vendor no need to mention the vendor. I did that in my laptop. Just check archwiki backlight.
