Dont need my hand held thru everything but my network is - pc1 running arch/xp, pc2 running xp+printer. Connect both pcs to internet via wireless adsl router. Can print from both pcs running xp after using the networking wizard etc. What should i be looking at so i can print from pc1 running arch - samba,swat,lisa,xinetd..? Theres just so much info out there but trying to weed out what i dont need is exhausting. I dont need to share files or anything just print from pc1 then i can do away with windows all together.

I think all you need is samba and cups - at least, I'm pretty sure that's all I use -- if I recall correctly there was an option for Samba printer in the Cups web admin when adding a printer, and I just chose that.

Thanks 4 that, got it working eventually with cups samba and swat....bit of a struggle though and i couldnt do it again if you paid me!
