Hi
Problem: Since my last update, yesterday, I have the impression that vgaswitcheroo is not working properly anymore.
I use it as described in the wiki for hybrid graphics (for ATI, manual method). This used to work fine, clearly seeable in the temperatures output of sensors. When the DGP is switched off I have 40 - 50°C, DGP on 60°C+. I have no idea on how to debug this.
Solution: I use acpi_call to switch off the DGP completely.
System: HPdv6, intel integrated graphics and AMD/ATI HD6400M
I use stable repos only.
Questions: Is this a bug ? If yes, is it known and where would I find the bugreport, so that the next time I can check it by myself ?
I installed acpi_call yesterday w/o changing the vgaswitcheroo config. Now it seems, as I said, vgaswitcheroo is not working anymore. Do vgaswitcheroo and acpi_call conflict with each other ? (I don't think that's the problem. Rather I would tip on a kernel issue.)

a lot of users have had issues with the latest dbus update. I am not sure if that's your problem but you could try downgrading dbus and see if that helps. Of course this would be a temporary solution.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Hey, thanks. That's a direction at least. I think I'll go with acpi_call for now. And maybe think about getting rid of dbus. (Only needed it for wicd.)
It's just frustrating me, when updating breaks working things.

That comes with Arch. If you use Arch, you should be ready for breakage.
