Network on Netbook goes to sleep?

Not a very informative subject line, I know, but here are the symptoms:

I have a home network with three computers on it - One main on a wired connection, one laptop on an ATH5K wireless connection and one Netbook on a Broadcom wl wireless connection.

I can always ping the Main computer from the two laptops, and the ATH5K laptop from the main computer, but the Notebook seems to go to sleep after a while and I can no longer ping it.

To re-iterate - I can ping the notebook and then , after a short while, I cannot ping it. The notebook is running, and on the network. If I go to the notebook and ping the main computer it works - no delays.

The firewall is off and I have tried changing the wl module, but with no change.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Maybe just a positive example of a working power management of the ath5k driver?
You can check if it is activated any time an association is up with iwconfig.

Hmm - it's the wl which goes to sleep, and it is not much good if it does not wake up when required.

Right ok, then the wl - same thing to check.

OK I will try

# iwconfig eth1 power off

and see if that helps
