Statusbar uses ~5% cpu on my C2D 3Ghz when idle.
I had multiple downloads going on in that shot.

@ibrunton @ANOKNUSA
They're from vim-powerline's fontpatcher and copied across to another font using this method.
Statusbar font I'm using is here, where the unicode chars are 00da - 00dd
vim-powerline adds these glyphs to unicode chars 2b80 - 2b83. Test them in vim when in insert mode: Ctrl+v -> u -> 2b80
