Newly installed Arch Linux system. No sound.

This is my first post, sorry for any mistake.

Hello, I've recently installed Arch Linux on my desktop computer. I followed the Arch Wiki to setup the sound, but it won't work.
The video and sound go through a HDMI cable, to the monitor, the monitor has speakers, and sound comes out of them perfectly in Windows 7.
The video chip, is an ATI Radeon HD 5600 Series. I installed the open source radeon driver avalibale in the Arch repositories.
I tried unmuting all channels, and unmuting only some channels, but no sound.

I will include the `lspci´ output generated in the Arch system:

If you need some extra information about the system, just tell me.

Cheers,
Sam.

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

Re: Newly installed Arch Linux system. No sound.

I can't seem to find a solution. What can I do if alsaconf got deleted?
Or how do I get sound setup?

Cheers,
Sam.

Re: Newly installed Arch Linux system. No sound.

Did you go through this WIKI?  I just re-installed my entire system and didn't have a problem with audio (it's not hdmi, but still works:) )

I used this while setting up, and didn't really have any problems with it.  Just a thought, hoped to get something started for you.

(have you tried headphones in your audio plug?)
